Air Arabia recently announced that its passenger average load factor for the first quarter of 2008 stands at 94 per cent across its destination networks in India. The airline served 2,46,296 passengers on the Sharjah – India routes for the first quarter of 2008 which is an increase of 43 per cent as compared to 1,72, 246 passengers during the same period in 2007.
The airline currently has direct flights to Ahmedabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Coimbatore, Thiruvanathapuram, Bangalore, Kozhikode and Delhi in India and connects over 39 destinations internationally.

In a recent development, North African airline Tunisair has decided to work with Airbus for the acquisition of three A350-800s, three A330-200s and ten A320s, as part of an important fleet development plan to modernise and expand the fleet of the growing airline. With this acquisition, Tunisair will become the third African airline to order the all-new A350 XWB. Tunisair already has 12 A320s, four A319s of which two are of the extended range capability and three A300-600s in operation.
The A350 as part of the long-term development plans of Tunisair will be used for long haul routes to North America and Asia. Meanwhile, the A330 will also equip the airline to cater to the long haul market with new routes to North America. Furthermore, the A320 will allow Tunisair to renew and expand its regional operations with more efficient and cost effective aircraft complementing its current fleet…..

Air-India Express (AIE) is planning to expand its services by introducing flights to Kuwait from Kerala, Mangalore and Ahmedabad and to Dubai from Goa, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. Flights will also be launched to Dhaka from Kolkata. Being a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Aviation Company of India Ltd., (NACIL), AIE has made remarkable progress in terms of fleet, network expansion and number of passengers carried, since its inception three years ago on April 29, 2005. Besides lower fares, an important feature of AIE is the Internet-based reservations system, which is very customer-friendly and allows passengers to make reservations as per their convenience either from home, office or through appointed travel agents. Passengers also have access to fares and availability of seats online, which makes it an extremely transparent system…..
